Massimo La Rocca spent 27 years styling hair both locally and throughout Europe, even serving as the creative director at Revolver Salon. He opens his first spot along with his wife, Naomi Okawa, who is also a stylist. The contemporary space is decorated with paintings from Australian artist Chris McDonald, and features a Porsche barber chair and three styling seats beneath a glam disco ball. Services include haircuts (with La Rocca $65–$85, with one of the other three stylists $50–$80), single-process color ($80) and clear glosses ($60). Ask about Balayage color ($160–$200), offered only by La Rocca, in which he hand-paints the highlights to create a more natural look. Before you leave, pick up TIGI ($15–$40) and Milbon ($20–$60) products, such as the latter line’s Lusse hair cream ($20), used in the salon for taming tresses.
